Due to her mother’s belief of Hazel having depression, her mother makes her attend a cancer support group, where she meets Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort), “Gus”, who is a handsome teenager that has lost one leg due to bone cancer, but is apparently cancer-free at that time.
One of the main protagonists Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley), is a strong-willed and persevering teenager who is diagnosed with cancer that has spread to her lungs. Although its plot mainly revolves around the undeniable chemistry between the two characters and the heart-warming development of their relationship, it speaks about the meaning of life and death, the importance of family and love, and how essential hope and appreciation is in our lives. This movie stars actress Shailene Woodley and actor Ansel Elgort, acting as Hazel and Augustus respectively, who are two cancer-affiliated teeangers that met at a cancer support group. The film is a romantic young adult drama film that was directed by Josh Boone, based on the 2012 novel of the same name, by John Green.
